As winter quickly approaches, my wish list of versatile and playful wardrobe additions is growing continuously. Since this will be my third round enduring Chicago's brutal winter, I've learned the importance of mixing function with flair.
To avoid the monotony of coats and layers, it's clutch to incorporate special pieces that make an outfit pop. Other essentials are good boots, a few key cosmetics to look and feel less pale and drab, and oversized sunnies to shield eyes on those bright winter days (and to hide that Casper-hued face come mid-January).

- Zara Chevron Sequin Clutch $59.90
- ASH 'Trash' Boot $384.95
